SLADE SADDLE SHOP began in Uvalde, Texas in 1883 as A.M. Rice Saddlery. Will A.
Slade bought out Mr. Rice in 1929. The shop continued to operate in Uvalde, Texas for
Mr. Will A. Slade's grandson, Will G. Paradeaux is the current owner and operator of
Slade Saddle Shop. Mr. Paradeaux can be found working side-by-side with his son,
Will Slade Paradeaux, at the Luling Texas location today. Will Slade Paradeaux is the
fifth generation of leather craftsman and saddle maker for Slade Saddle Shop.
Slade Saddle shop is meticulous about quality and detail. Each item that we produce is
hand made from scratch and is can be completely personalized to be one of a kind and
distinctly yours.
Reputation and tradition guide our professional craftsmanship throughout the
manufacturing process. You can use our products with confidence because quality and
workmanship go with the name; "Slade made, means Handmade"
We offer a variety of services such as: boot repair, saddle restoration, purse and
luggage repair.
